I am so glad you thought of this idea to connect with friends when you needed them. Your feelings are never crazy or silly. I am not going to give you advice because we all see life differently. what I will do is give you my opinion on PGD. I am guessing that it helps determine what the embro is. To me sperm is sperm is sperm. Whether you are flushing it down the toilet, jerking off into a kleenex or storing it in a bottle it is not yet a baby. If science can now help you have a girl that you so greatly desire I think that is a great option. Adoption would be great as there are so many unloved children in this world but if you want one of your own then PGD sounds like the way to go.

I think that these are very normal feelings for you to be having. Please keep us updated. If you decide to move forward with either the adoption or the IVF I wish you all the luck and love possible!

Honey, I am so glad you and Patrick are so close and have such a great relationship. 37 or 38 is really not that old to have another child, I know some women who had their first at that age. The age difference between your boys and the new baby would probably work out better than you expect! Matthew was 7 when Isabel was born and they have a wonderful relationship. They are far enough apart in age that they don’t fight and he’s got the big brother protective vibe going on. I know that as they grow and become adults they will always be close. Your future daughter will be so lucky to have TWO big brothers to watch out for her.
