this pic is fuzzy or it had potential to be really cute!

1 month until our munchkin is 1 years old!!! Where did time go?

Oh and the deal of the year - I managed to get a new purse for an insanely good deal yesterday. I’m using it as my diaper bag also now for quick runs out since it holds my patemm diaper pad and my diapees and wipees case plus my wallet, sippy cup and kiddos snack container with goldfish & cheerios! I’m in love with it :) …damn me for liking nice purses. I have been itching to get a coach tote to use when I don’t need to carry my diaper bag. I have 2 cool diaper bags though - one Skip Hop and the Lands End Do it All for longer trips / aka weekends or long days out to the coast. I know it’s strange to some why a purse / bag is so fun to buy but for some reason since Patrick suprised me with my first Coach bag, he got me hooked and soon came the wallet then this new one! I do love shoes too but I tend to not spend any money on them like I used to. It’s all about my comfy with the kiddo and my Columbia tennis shoes are the bestest. Speaking of shoes, we went to look at kiddo shoes since he’s a walking maniac and found him a pair of sandals at Nordy’s. We found some at Striderite too but the pair at Nordy’s is the same price and much cuter. I think we are waiting a little bit to get them as it’s not quite time to have him running around outside in sandals and I don’t want him to outgrow them. For now his dwaggun robeez will have to do! While shopping yesterday with my mother in-law we got kiddo’s Sit & Spin Zebra thing for his 1st bday present from Patrick & I. He also got a new vacumn cleaner to push around LOL. Let’s see what else did we get him …a new dwaggun shirt and a polo type t-shirt from Macy’s. Then I got him a St. Paty’s day shirt @ Target. I picked up some frog easter eggs (mother in-law loves frogs) and some hippo easter eggs (my mom loves hippos) to put in his Easter basket months away LOL. I hit up the dollar spot @ Target for some board books to add to his bday / Easter stuff. (i’m such a sucker for the dollar spot and for sales!…and oh dollar tree..LOVE that store) Okay, so my update was all about shopping. Even though we are completely tight on money since i’m still in the process of finding a suitable part-time job that isn’t just answering phones hehe.

Kiddo and I are still on our antibiotics, finishing the last of them off. Kiddo today is VERY sick and not feeling great at all. It’s sad to watch him like this and we hope some sleep helps him feel better tomorrow. He’s not running a fever, just a non-stop snotty nose and very cranky / clingy. :( Poor little man!!!

oh ps. the above things that were bold are clickable links in case anyone is wondering what they were! LOL

Lastly ~here’s my new purse …u’d die if you knew how much I paid for it :)

So today, kiddo and I braved the rain to get his new big boy car seat. He has finally stepped up from his portable Graco Snugride because he’s too damn long!!!(Long & Skinny like his daddy!!!) The in-laws were VERY generous and bought us the carseat as our early present for X-mas since it was quite the expense. We were planning on getting it taken care of aka buying it ourselves before the end of the month but we got it early! I’ve had it picked out for ages though! We got it at the same store our crib was bought at, our first infant car seat was bought, our high chair was bought and numerous other wonderful purchases for kiddo. They have the Kelty backpack carrier we want too (instead of getting at REI and they had much better service in answering our questions and letting us try them out with kiddo in them!) What I love about the store is the service there is awesome and they do certified car seat installation so you don’t have to take it to the fire dept. or police dept. to get inspected to make sure you installed it correctly. They show you how to use everything! Did I mention they have about a million diaper bags i’d love to have - if I could figure out why i’d spend $100+ on a diaper bag LOL. I think i’ll stick to my Skip Hop bag instead. Although, I am going to have my mom order me a bigger day trip diaper bag for a x mas present I think.

Butttt First I had to brave the rain to go to Macy’s to buy some slacks that fit me since I have a test tomorrow for one of the jobs and the interview for the other job on Wednesday. I’m excited for both opportunities and hope that I can at least get an offer from one of the two, both offers would be nice too!! I have managed to go in reverse on my weight big time and i’m thrilled. Now if I can keep it off with all the rain and us not walking in the evenings as much. I need Patrick to get our Elliptical upstairs into the extra storage room. (we have a guest room and well a temporary storage - someday another kids room upstairs that is going to currently be the workout room or well storage of misc. things room LOL). I have gone down to a size 7/8 again and it’s amazing to me…I look back and I wasn’t in all that great of shape when I got pregnant imo. All my nice suits and professional work clothes don’t fit me atm so I managed to find a nice black skirt and black slacks for the interview process. If I get the job i’ll be hitting up the outlet mall for more things. Since doing a little shopping at Macy’s (thanks to the gift card), i’ve fallen in love with Tommy Hilfiger, Liz Claiborne and Ralph Lauren clothing. My taste just got expensive *sighs* I love the way those 3 clothing designers fit me. The outlet stores near us have outlets for them, plus an Eddie Bauer outlet so I foresee a shopping trip in the future, when I land a job!

Well, going to crack out (THANKS DORANA!!!!!)

First - Let me show you the pic of guppyman’s new big boy seat. COWMOOFLAGE!!!! (name of the fabric style)
Britax Marathon (supposedly one of the safest seats on the market and I love love how easy they are to use!)

Oh oh and you have got to see kiddo’s new shoes!!! DWAGGUN Robeez!! How I love Robeez shoes!!! I wish I could buy up oodles of them!

Amuck Amuck!

The most wonderful men in my life (all are thumbnails so you can click to get the bigger sizes)
The Beaver Believer t-shirt is thanks to his Uncle Justin (a beaver fan) & Meredith in Reno!

1) like father like son 2) goofy smile 3) tired of the camera and lastly 4) I shall EAT the pumpkin

Busy weekend to say the least! We got lots of misc. stuff done though, like cleaning the garage enough to get cars in there! We also got some stuff ready for the neighborhood garage sale next week, hung up kiddos extra closet shelf, rehung the wine bar shelf that I knocked loose with my head, hung up the flag pole holder for outside (it seems the big thing is to have flag poles with seasonal or sports team flags up in this neighborhood and we had a holder from Patrick’s parents so wala) and I made stuffed green peppers with a cobbler for desert.

Today was spent getting Merlin his shots, meeting up with the in-laws @ Starbucks then we ran amuck to Hillsboro for some shopping or window shopping mostly. We did pick up some bargains @ Kohls (like 70% off Columbia men’s shorts for Patrick, and 50% off Fisher Price / Playskool toys..although I only got Braysen some weird texture balls since they didn’t have the Drop n Roar Dinosaur I want for him grrrr).

We did really go to Hillsboro to hit up REI. We wanted to check out the packs for carrying Kiddo (he’s almost getting too heavy for my Bjorn carrier), a trailer for my bike for Kiddo and Neeva’s pack. We looked at and put on the different packs for carrying kiddo and we settled on the Kelty Pathfinder. We are holding off on dishing out the dough now but I imagine soon we’ll either hope someone gets it for us, we get REI gift cards or we suck up and pay for it! The bike thing is going to wait until next spring / summer but I can’t wait to pull him along on bike rides. We’ve been wanting to get Neeva girl a pack for a while and I don’t know when Patrick is going to order it.

Kelty Pathfinder Pack, Burley trailer and Neeva’s Ruff pack

Well off to bed, kiddo asleep in his crib early and think we’ll go watch Iron Chef!

I just ordered one of these for kiddo! This way I don’t have to put him in my infant carrier everytime (i’ve been having some back issues thanks to carrying him soooo much!) It works for grocery carts but also high chairs and we got it in this color because we thought it’d work for a future girl someday :) (yes, we buy everything going - will this work for a girl in the future..call us hopeful….but a few years away yet on that one!)
