Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve done a blog update on this thing. I managed to get some posts out on myspace or a few message boards but I’ve neglected this way too long!

Big news first (although no news to some I know!)
~ Braysen is going to be a big brother somewhere around May 1st, 2008!!!!~

Yep, we are expecting #2! They’ll be just over 2 years apart, which is right where we were hoping (2-3 years ideally hehe). That probably should answer the famous question I keep getting asked, “Was this planned?” Why yes actually it was. I’m around 12 weeks and FINALLY feeling relief from my 24/7 morning sickness that plagued me again this pregnancy. I got on the same drugs that they put me on for Braysen but this time around they didn’t work. It’s been a daily battle of trying to not throw up or eat constantly hoping to curb the nausea. I swear I’ll be a cow just from having to eat snacks all day long. I have been eating healthy snacks like yogurt, cucumbers, fruits and such at least. I have horrible nausea in the late afternoon/evening currently and if that would pass I might just feel slightly human. I can’t sleep worth crap but that comes with the territory.

We’ve had an early ultrasound just shy of 7 weeks (I think it was) and saw the baby’s heartbeat. I heard the heartbeat by Doppler around 9 ½ weeks (I’m horrible at remember the exact dates unless I look at my calendar at home). My next appt. is next Thursday. The sad news to me is that I won’t have another ultrasound until 22-24 weeks. I was hoping to find out the sex of the baby before Christmas vacation when we head off to KC but it looks as it’ll happen when we return. *sighs* I’m really hoping for a girl, healthy baby first of course.

I think we are done after this, I am not a happy pregnant girl. I know they say pregnancies can be different from kid to kid but 2 times in a row of this throwing up stuff is almost too much for me. It gets even more difficult when you are throwing up with a toddler running around! I’m thankful Patrick has been a huge help. He has been working from home 2 days a week lately so he tends to get some dishes done or do a quick vacuuming before I get home. God bless a man who helps out with the housework! How did I get so lucky? He’s also been a great French Toast cooker. I’ve sadly seen Braysen turn into quite the little daddy’s boy because of this but it’s ok.

On Braysen news~ He’s quite the talker. I mean the kid has a vocab that astounds us. He picks up new words so quick. He has started to learn what certain shapes are in books and what colors are. I should say this is by him looking at picture books and pointing at things and telling us what they are or we tell him if it’s word he isn’t quite there yet on. He LOVES books still and plops into our laps after he throws the book at my head ½ the time. He gets mad if you won’t read the book he brings to you hehe. For the longest time he’d say “dada dada dada” all the flipping time but no mama. This was until we figured out finally that I’m “baba” not “mama”. We do this cute thing where I point at his chest and say Braysen then I’ll point at Patrick and say Dada and finally myself and say mama. His latest thing with this is that if we are out with other people, when we first start talking to them, he’ll point at me and say “baba” and look at the person like he’s trying to tell them I’m his mom or if dad is holding him he’ll point and say “dada”. It’s adorable!!! I need to get him on video with his little finger puppet duck that he now puts on his finger and says “quack quack quack” as he hops his finger around in the air. He also has taking a thing to Tigger and “bouncing”. He’ll bounce (basically tries to jump up and down) around the room in circles, saying bounce bounce bounce all the while and it had us rolling the first time we saw it.

Home stuff~ I can’t remember if I posted about our new furniture purchase but we got ourselves a new King Bedroom set last month and it’s beautiful. When our room isn’t a disaster I’ll get some pics of it. I think it’s a marriage saver LOL as Patrick no longer has to feel pushed out by the million pillows that have formed around me to keep me comfy.

For another update, our friends Koby & Rain were out visiting 2 weeks ago. It’s raining nonstop here in the good ol’ NW and of course I can’t stand it but oh well.
We’ll that’s some stuff for another update, sorry all!

Heading off camping on Thursday and cannot wait! We’ll be going with 4 other families and it’ll be the first “vacation” type of thing we’ve done in ages. It’ll be nice to get away and relax! We bought a new tent so we’d have more room and this one has a front screened porch along with a huge room that can be divided into 2 rooms. We are bringing Neeva with us and her crate, along with kiddos pack n play so those will take up some serious room. This tent should be perfect! We have been gathering up our camping stuff, making some shopping runs for misc. stuff we needed and then we’ll do a grocery trip before we actually go. Each family is going to be doing a breakfast or dinner so that should work out pretty easy and we’ll just have to do our own lunches. SOOOO excited!

So hey it’s a happy post, but I do have happy posts on the previous page and tons in the past. *shrugs*

This is basically the email I sent to Patrick venting and apologizing for being grumpy…..this explains my mood to a “T” atm.

Sorry I’m such a grump.
I left the house and it’s a complete total mess- dishes all over the counters/sink
and trash all over. Toys everywhere and things just a mess.
Had to fight with the dogs / chase them all
over this morning, had Braysen wake up to Pinot this morning. I got a
coffee and the people didn’t put the lid on well so I spilled that on
myself a bit. This is after trying to find something to wear knowing I
would have to wear my most “summer” type of clothes the rest of the
week..which I don’t have much to wear. I’m grumpy .I just want some new
shirts and I want my house clean. I don’t want to have to go out to
dinner or even cook dinner tonight or even clean for family to come
over.

We have to finish getting the house taped and ready for Wed.
Katie said we should just call up and have them reschedule but then they
have less time to fix their crap before the year is up (although I think
they have to fix everything regardless whether the year is up - based
upon what you find on the appt.) It’s hard enough getting them to call
back / schedule appts. Let alone reschedule.

I don’t want company tonight, I don’t want to clean tonight
and honestly I’m dreading having to go out to dinner or host dinner…
because either way we have to clean the house / cook or we have to entertain
kiddo at the worst place to eat at. Everytime we go to *name omited*
I don’t get to eat. I have to get my stuff boxed to eat at home…
which is NOT enjoyable. Kiddo eats like crap too because I bring
every sweet / non-healthy item with us that he’s
interested in just to keep him occupied long enough for the dinners to
come out. I can only imagine how long it’ll take for dinner to get to
us tonight with another person there.

I’m sorry to unload….this day just sucks arse so far and the afternoon
looks just as bad. I want to go home and take kiddo to the pool..not
worry about cleaning / dishes / toys / walk-thru appts. / family coming over to
get their dog / or having to find food to pack up for dinner out.

Finally an update of sorts~

Think I finally finished munchkin man’s invite! We have gone through a few different revisions before this. It’s supposed to kind of look like a postcard/envelope thing with a stamp in the corner & formatted with the return address area / to address area etc. We are doing an animal theme and I’ll be decorating the house like it’s a jungle or safarish. I found some cutttteee ideas on the web and am going to order some stuff from Oriental Trading also. Think we have about 30ish people coming (that’s including kids) so shouldn’t be too out of hand.
Here’s what it looks like!!!! I’ll change the formatting for printing though and it will be 4 postcards per page type of thing so that’s why it’s kind of small text!

Looky here Kiddos 1st birthday party invite!

Kiddo and I are both sick though!!! Sunday night Patrick fell down the stairs (I tried to kill him he says by putting the camcorder bag on the steps) and well he broke his big toe. He stayed home on Monday and we were trying to get him into the doctor but both his doctor and my local doctor said to get him to the ER if we really wanted so we said forget it. I know it’s broken and it’s not like they can do anything for him. It looks a lot better as the weeks progressed. I had to cancel my eye doctor appt. that afternoon since I wasn’t going to be driving into drop kiddo off with Patrick at his work. (my eye doc is by his work) Tuesday I got an emergency appt. of sorts to the doc because I’ve been sick for over a week and started getting the cough that always plagues me before I get Pneumonia so I was kind of freaked thinking kiddo could get it too. He was sick also with a runny nose for the past week with me. I got put on antibiotics for some sort of infection I have and luckily I can still nurse him while on it which is something I was concerned about. I got kiddo in for an appt. today though to have him checked out ( I made the appt. the day I found out I had the infection) and he has the starting of an ear infection from all the cough / cold / runny nose stuff we’ve had. *sighs* He’s on antibiotics now too!!! We both are miserable!!! I went to our local Harvest Fresh Healthy / Organic type of store today to buy some “probiotics” to take so we don’t get Thrush or have problems from both being on antibiotics. I got kiddo some yobaby yogurt to help him out also.

We had a pretty mellow Valentines Day but kiddo and I suprised Patrick at his work with a Spongebob balloon that kiddo picked out, of course, for his daddy! We also took candy and our cards to him there then went out to a nice lunch. I rented some movies for the evening and being sick we just laid low. Plus, it’s amazing how much your priorities change as you have kiddos! Braysen gave his 1st Valentines out to Charlotte across the street!!!We have some pictures of the together that I need to get from Katie. We are horrible I tell ya!! I’m sure Braysen will kill me when he’s 16 and hears about us setting them up at such an early age! We did go out with them last Friday night for Thai food and it was a nice couples nite, even having the kiddos with us. Afterwards we went back to have a drink and play dominoes with them. You know you are old though when you call it a night at 10:30!! The kiddos were up the whole time, refused to go to sleep and were getting cranky though too! (Kiddo goes to bed around 7-7:30)

Well ~ need to use my evening kiddo free time for some WoW crack out. (yes, I started playing again with Patrick at night…well on nights that we aren’t out with friends / neighbors etc!)
