We had a scary night last Saturday with 5 hours spent at the ER due to kiddo’s spiking fever, blowing through 3 diapers in less then 10 minutes and lethargic look about him. This week has been rough because Patrick has been gone in Texas (left monday) and will be home shortly! Kiddos fever is down though but the diaper changes are still well messy..sighs! I want him to feel better soon.

Would type more but he’s barely napping 15 minutes since Sat. so I better get as much done as possible!

1 month until our munchkin is 1 years old!!! Where did time go?

Oh and the deal of the year - I managed to get a new purse for an insanely good deal yesterday. I’m using it as my diaper bag also now for quick runs out since it holds my patemm diaper pad and my diapees and wipees case plus my wallet, sippy cup and kiddos snack container with goldfish & cheerios! I’m in love with it …damn me for liking nice purses. I have been itching to get a coach tote to use when I don’t need to carry my diaper bag. I have 2 cool diaper bags though - one Skip Hop and the Lands End Do it All for longer trips / aka weekends or long days out to the coast. I know it’s strange to some why a purse / bag is so fun to buy but for some reason since Patrick suprised me with my first Coach bag, he got me hooked and soon came the wallet then this new one! I do love shoes too but I tend to not spend any money on them like I used to. It’s all about my comfy with the kiddo and my Columbia tennis shoes are the bestest. Speaking of shoes, we went to look at kiddo shoes since he’s a walking maniac and found him a pair of sandals at Nordy’s. We found some at Striderite too but the pair at Nordy’s is the same price and much cuter. I think we are waiting a little bit to get them as it’s not quite time to have him running around outside in sandals and I don’t want him to outgrow them. For now his dwaggun robeez will have to do! While shopping yesterday with my mother in-law we got kiddo’s Sit & Spin Zebra thing for his 1st bday present from Patrick & I. He also got a new vacumn cleaner to push around LOL. Let’s see what else did we get him …a new dwaggun shirt and a polo type t-shirt from Macy’s. Then I got him a St. Paty’s day shirt @ Target. I picked up some frog easter eggs (mother in-law loves frogs) and some hippo easter eggs (my mom loves hippos) to put in his Easter basket months away LOL. I hit up the dollar spot @ Target for some board books to add to his bday / Easter stuff. (i’m such a sucker for the dollar spot and for sales!…and oh dollar tree..LOVE that store) Okay, so my update was all about shopping. Even though we are completely tight on money since i’m still in the process of finding a suitable part-time job that isn’t just answering phones hehe.

Kiddo and I are still on our antibiotics, finishing the last of them off. Kiddo today is VERY sick and not feeling great at all. It’s sad to watch him like this and we hope some sleep helps him feel better tomorrow. He’s not running a fever, just a non-stop snotty nose and very cranky / clingy. Poor little man!!!

So, I am participating in a website that does studies on gamers. They do surveys and will have other future misc. things but they are just getting their feet wet. For the first survey thing I did, I receieved a $10 amazon.com gift card Not bad for answering some easy gaming preference questions. Anyhow, I have some invites left to those that would want to join up. I have my brother and Patrick both signed up and they both received the $10 also so i’m not here to scam or get you on some funky mailing list. I really don’t want to send invites out unless you will really do the survey things from time to time though because then i’m out of the invites!!! It’s not some huge internet survey site either I wouldn’t be wanting to get people into something like that but it is kind of fun and i’m sure we can all spend amazon money!!! Let me know if you want to join and your email addy if so. You’re probably thinking I get something out of it but that’ s a yes and no, I’ll admit that there is an ipod contest if I get people invited but honestly, I have an Ipod so this is more to see if friends wanted to earn some extra cash and participate in something simple about gaming. I had my brother and patrick invited long before any silly contest More so I wanted to make sure that this seemed legit and not some hoaky thing

Finally an update of sorts~

Think I finally finished munchkin man’s invite! We have gone through a few different revisions before this. It’s supposed to kind of look like a postcard/envelope thing with a stamp in the corner & formatted with the return address area / to address area etc. We are doing an animal theme and I’ll be decorating the house like it’s a jungle or safarish. I found some cutttteee ideas on the web and am going to order some stuff from Oriental Trading also. Think we have about 30ish people coming (that’s including kids) so shouldn’t be too out of hand.
Here’s what it looks like!!!! I’ll change the formatting for printing though and it will be 4 postcards per page type of thing so that’s why it’s kind of small text!

Looky here Kiddos 1st birthday party invite!

Kiddo and I are both sick though!!! Sunday night Patrick fell down the stairs (I tried to kill him he says by putting the camcorder bag on the steps) and well he broke his big toe. He stayed home on Monday and we were trying to get him into the doctor but both his doctor and my local doctor said to get him to the ER if we really wanted so we said forget it. I know it’s broken and it’s not like they can do anything for him. It looks a lot better as the weeks progressed. I had to cancel my eye doctor appt. that afternoon since I wasn’t going to be driving into drop kiddo off with Patrick at his work. (my eye doc is by his work) Tuesday I got an emergency appt. of sorts to the doc because I’ve been sick for over a week and started getting the cough that always plagues me before I get Pneumonia so I was kind of freaked thinking kiddo could get it too. He was sick also with a runny nose for the past week with me. I got put on antibiotics for some sort of infection I have and luckily I can still nurse him while on it which is something I was concerned about. I got kiddo in for an appt. today though to have him checked out ( I made the appt. the day I found out I had the infection) and he has the starting of an ear infection from all the cough / cold / runny nose stuff we’ve had. *sighs* He’s on antibiotics now too!!! We both are miserable!!! I went to our local Harvest Fresh Healthy / Organic type of store today to buy some “probiotics” to take so we don’t get Thrush or have problems from both being on antibiotics. I got kiddo some yobaby yogurt to help him out also.

We had a pretty mellow Valentines Day but kiddo and I suprised Patrick at his work with a Spongebob balloon that kiddo picked out, of course, for his daddy! We also took candy and our cards to him there then went out to a nice lunch. I rented some movies for the evening and being sick we just laid low. Plus, it’s amazing how much your priorities change as you have kiddos! Braysen gave his 1st Valentines out to Charlotte across the street!!!We have some pictures of the together that I need to get from Katie. We are horrible I tell ya!! I’m sure Braysen will kill me when he’s 16 and hears about us setting them up at such an early age! We did go out with them last Friday night for Thai food and it was a nice couples nite, even having the kiddos with us. Afterwards we went back to have a drink and play dominoes with them. You know you are old though when you call it a night at 10:30!! The kiddos were up the whole time, refused to go to sleep and were getting cranky though too! (Kiddo goes to bed around 7-7:30)

Well ~ need to use my evening kiddo free time for some WoW crack out. (yes, I started playing again with Patrick at night…well on nights that we aren’t out with friends / neighbors etc!)

I cannot believe he’s almost 1!!! I sooo need to get a move on with planning his birthday party!
I will do an update eventually but I sometimes feel like I ramble on and on here to deaf ears so I haven’t had much to say lately.

For now though ~ here’s my light of my life and what keeps me happy when times aren’t so pleasant!
