almost!

We have another coat to do on the top green and then touch up to smooth out the border some (textured walls suck to paint nice clean edges with i’m learning, the paint runs under the damn tape!) After that it’s time to do our stencil quote in the spot above his crib, finish up the ceiling with clouds and see if my animal stencil things will work for his border or not. Thennn we might just have a nursery out of this whole process!! (better late then never I keep telling myself, although it’s still sad I’m doing this after he’s already here and didn’t get to do it before he arrived!)

This is of the nook area where his changing table dresser thing will go. You can see the different greens and then the ceiling is a pretty blue that we’ll paint clouds on here soon!

Next weekend my best friend from KC arrives. We just had company leave today that stayed with us for the weekend, was good times and great to catch up. We went to the little girl down the streets b-day party briefly on Saturday to give her our gift. She’s a cutie named Isabella and turned 2! Stopped by to see the in-laws yesterday, had a glass of wine and picked up some things they had gotten us at Costco! Busy days I tell ya!

:) more to come in the future!

Not much time to type - too many things to do in the house and projects galore but we did sneak in some pool time this last week!

hello from the new house!

Busy busy unpacking and trying to get settled but here’s a few pics ..real house pics will be someday when I feel like we are finally settled and there isn’t crap everywhere :) I’m walking 2-3x a day now with kiddo and our Neeva girl. Yes, we finally got our dog up here and she’s a sweetheart. I’ll do an entry someday all about her first few days and how amazingly sweet she is. Patrick goes on the walk with us during the evenings every night and walks her in the morning before work, I pick up the mid-day walking shifts. We have met lots of our neighbors and everyone is very welcoming. There are tons of kids around :) :) Just across the street we have a couple our age that have a little girl 3 weeks short of Braysen and 3 houses down there’s a little boy about 3 1/2 weeks shy of Braysen! That’s not mentioning all the kids to say the very least. Anyhow, we are sooo happy to be in our new place finally settling down to start our family years somewhere.

Some pics of Braysen - he’ll be 5 months the 23rd!!!
sitting up!

up close shot while working on crawling

crawling position!

i’m tired of crawling and pics mom!

and his latest face he makes - he sucks in his lips and blows out his cheeks like a chipmunk! (not exactly the best pic quality - oops!)

and a pic of the beginnings of kiddos paint job - hopefully will be done this weekend but we started last week. (we have to paint at night when kiddo goes to sleep so our painting is taking us forevvver!) the bottom is a fun green (not everyones nursery color and we LOVE it!!) and then we’ll have a border (you can see the tape for the border) and then the top part will be a lighter shade of that same green. The ceiling is a nice calm blue that we’ll be adding clouds to also. i’ll be more excited to post final pics of how it all works out together tho! this is taken of the little nook in his room that we’ll be putting his dresser / changing table.

and here’s kiddos bath in the works - ocean theme

talk to everyone soon~ it’s kind of nice having so much to do really and neighbors to mingle with for hours :)

I posted the whole story on eqpeople (if you have access to the women’s forum) about the house situation but all has worked out finally!!!

Things have worked themselves out after ditching the shitty lender!! The new one was able to work us through fast! We got early move in papers from our builder so we’ll be moving in tomorrow thankfully! Sadly, I cancelled our comcast install that was for today last week *sighs* and when I called today, they told me they can’t get out now until the 13th soooo we’ll be out of internet / tv etc. *sighs again* I’ll be busy unpacking, finally working on kiddos nursery and if it’s nice i’ll go swimming to pass the time but it’s still sucky to be w/o the net! It’s amazing how much we’ve gone through but we’re happy it’s worked itself out Now to get things rehooked up (I cancelled all our utility installs, blinds apointments, washer / dryer order etc. last week). Patrick will be driving down this weekend to Nevada to pick up our Neeva puppy so it’ll be a busy week!

back to finishing packing & cleaning!
Talk to everyone soon and i’m sure with pics!

hugs
