dad’s new car
I just have to post this pic of my dad’s midlife crisis car. He turned 50 on May 8th and well…the weekend before drove to Texas from KS to pick up his new toy. My step-mom wouldn’t let him have a Harley so he went for his next dream transportation LOL. I told him that he’s worked hard for it when he said he was slightly embarassed and didn’t want to come off bragging about it.
The pictures speak for themselves: *jaw drop*

and one last pic of my sisters that are coming with my family to visit at the end of the month ..

ooooh, preeettttyyyyy.
Better a car than a motorcycle. At least a car has a cage around you so if you do get rear-ended or something like that, you’re safer.
My dad got a motorcycle at 45. At 60 he traded it in for a camero – by that time, he’d wiped on his bike three times, screwed up his shoulder and his ankle in the process.
We all breathed a sigh of relief when he got the car. The next weekend I got a call from him saying that his car could “outrun a West Virginia state trooper”. I asked him if it could outrun radio waves

HAHAHA that is great, totally sounds like something my daddy would do. He’s got a 77 sting ray right now, and a bike but has at least a version of the bike for at least the last 15-20 years, with the vette he’s has some sort of vette most his life.
I see him getting a brandy new vette for his crisis too tho
he drives a volvo station wagon for everyday travel right now. ITs a nice car but he goes car shopping for fun on his days off, its a game to him and he loves messing with the sales guys. In fact, he had to find a new BMW and mercedes dealer becuase he’s been to the ones nearest to us so many times all the sales people know he jsut wants to test drive the cars and more then likely won’t buy. lol

I wanted to get a motorcycle when I turned 50 but I had not lost enough weight. It was part of the bargain I made with myself.
Instead I got my Intrepid which I love.
He sure has a gorgeous car.

way nice! E’s family collects and rebuilds classic corvettes, which if I may say be so bold, is the last great american sports car.
and it’s red
