Playing with the kiddo tonight and decided to do an action sequence of him rolling, although at the end he got fussy so I had to hurry and pick him up instead of getting a good ending pose!

then there’s the “i’m walking mom & dad pics”
He LOVES LOVES to “frog hop” (we hold him under his arms and he bends his knees then pushes up and we jump him in the air. Needless to say he’s addicted to frog hopping and my arms are getting great workouts from this. The pics below though are of him getting help walking around already LOL. Yah yah, I know we are MANY months from it but it’s still cute to see him step his feet forward as if he “thinks” he can walk already. He’s also addicted to doing this, so if he’s not wanting to frog hop he’s wanting to step around with our help. He gets frustrated even sometimes when we won’t do it and starts arching all straight legged and stuff.

Shot week:
This week he turns 2 months!!!!! He gets his shots on Thursday and Patrick is going with me thankfully
Not going to be fun to say the very least!!!
Weekend highlights:
We had a BBQ with friends over yesterday and it turned out really well. Had lots of fun and good food. We all played a game of Cranium and whelp, Patrick and I made a great comeback but lost to some friends that i’m hearing are the people to beat at games..they sure proved it yesterday!! Patrick’s parents came by earlier in the day to visit briefly, drop off mail and brought yummy cookies.
Today we ran off to Bridgeport to do some shopping. It’s a pretty cool outdoors mall with the largest Crate & Barrel i’ve ever been in. This is the 2nd time i’ve been there but I came prepared with my gift card this time and we bought some nice stemless wine glasses that i’ve been wanting. I have been eyeing them since seeing them in Napa and finally got some since we magically ended up with no wine glasses from the house moved up here. (it seems some of the boxes that I needed up here never made it…another story, another day). I also got a new grill pan since I have a great set of Caphalon pans my mom got for us as a wedding gift but i’ve been filling out that set slowly with other pans I wanted. Patrick cooks some damn good Halibut and Salmon on the grill pan like “hazlenut crusted halibut” etc. We also out at PF Changs, which we haven’t been to in ages.
The best stop imo though was the children’s store “Goodnight Room”. It’s got some insanely expensive cribs and beds in it BUT the books / toys are soooo cool. The real reason why I went there was to get these cards for Braysen’s room. There are 26 of them and they are all animals represented by the alphabet. I have the “Alphabet Soup” bedding from Pottery Barn Kids and these go so well. We are going to do a border along the top of his walls with the cards.

We have started getting things done more in his room so I at least have a temporary nursery for him. I feel robbed not getting to do a real nursery with paint and all..but he’s going to have the coolest toddler’s room ever we’ve decided LOL. I also got his letters spelling his name from PBK that are in animal shapes up on the wall. I ordered a bookcase from Company Kids this last week for his room also so that should be in this week or beginning of next week. Slowly but surely!!! I’ll take pics once things are more settled.
We have pretty much all the pics up in the rest of the apartment, I just need to take pictures of the place. I ordered more pics from Shutterfly to do some more family collage frames for our wall but I need to go to Michael’s and buy some frames yet. Think this week, I’ll be hitting up Michael’s and Target so I can finish up some of these projects. Oh, we also found a desk at Container Store that we are going to pick up next weekend so our computers will finally be off our dining room table. (it’s such a geeky setup LOL) Sadly, we don’t have an office in this apt. because our 2nd bedroom is kiddos unlike our last apt. where our 2nd bedroom was the office. (this is why we NEED our house to sell soon and to buy a new one!!!)
Well, going to relax a bit while kiddo is down before we head off to bed ourselves.
