lunch time breaks

Well I put up some pictures on our gallery page with the furniture in the house. It’s a bit messy so i’m slightly embarassed I even posted them but hey :) We got some furniture from Patrick’s parents for our living room, guest room and other misc. items like an old fashioned hand painted lamp and some bed linens that I hope to replace with the pretty “heather” linen’s from Bed Bath and Beyond. Just seems fitting that I fell in love with that set before I even know the name of them. Guys at work were making fun of a few things in the house but i’m just thankful we have the furniture we do and we’ll be replacing stuff as time goes on.

Anyhow…is it true that when you get a house and have a hubby that you start to feel the baby bug? Now, we won’t even be trying until i’m done with school but it’s wierd. I feel ready to settle and what not for once in my life. I imagine it’ll be a year and 1/2 at least before we try to have kids but the thought is kind of cool I will say. I’m sure my family is going “oh please tell me not so soon” and NO NO i’m not thinking soon. I would like to think i’m that smart to know school is important and getting settled into a house and our life as a married couple before adding something else into the mix. Plus, we are getting a puppy most likely coming in January and that will be our 3rd kid (by then we’ll have Xaria so that will be 2 kids err cats).

For some fun

Must resist hitting head against wall…..I have this massive
headache and I can’t imagine it getting any worse but maybe the initial thud
against the wall would distract me from thinking about how bad it does
hurt.  I’m still struggling with this
pneumonia thing, if you can believe I’m going on a month or so now of it.  We are all pretty convinced that without
taking a break, I’m not going to get fully over it so I imagine it’ll drag on
for quite a while longer.

Sooooo, in other news we are HOMEOWNERS!!!!!  We closed last Friday at 1:00.  I took off
work early to head out to the closing and we did our key walk, where they told
us what they had fixed from our walk-thru and then told us what they still were
working on.  The only things left were
our surround sound speakers in our great room and the backyard landscaping.  We went home, ate some lunch and loaded up the
car with a few small boxes.  (mainly of
wedding presents!)

Saturday morning was the big moving day! Patrick’s
parents had come down from Oregon
to help us move and then were heading to Madison
to see James (Patrick’s brother).  Besides the fun of moving over the weekend,
we did numerous shopping trips.  There
was the Bed Bath & Beyond spending spree with all new guest bathroom stuff
and misc. kitchen necessities.  There was
the Target adventure for trash cans and bathroom stuff for our Master Bath
(which btw looks beautiful).   Lastly,
there was Lowe’s, who sucked our money faster then a mosquito after blood.  We had quite the shopping list for there and
even had to make 2 trips for things we had forgotten.  …Ceiling fans, shop broom, picture hangers,
towel hooks, spackle for fixing our lil knicks we put in while moving and
more!

<>All in all our house looks amazing!  It’s so quiet and peaceful out there
also.  I think Merlin enjoys it just as
much.  He’s become quite the mighty bug
hunter.  Such a big hunter, that he doesn’t
come to bed at night because of the bug expeditions and instead he sleeps all
day.  I’m trying to adjust to the longer
drive and the longer days.  I’m waking up
at 6:30 heading into work with Patrick
(carpooling to save my car – 3 months he told me until I get the Mazda 6),
working 7:30 – 4:30 and then
basically not home until 10 – 10:15 from class.   The whole 7:30am
– 10:15 pm
day is a killer.
I’m trying to figure out how to deal with it.  Then on top we don’t have dsl until the 10th
and I have this online class.  Yesterday,
luckily our professor extended our assignment because I couldn’t get my damn
XHTML validated and had errors all over the place.  Hard to work on fixes when I’m doing it over
my lunch break.

Anyhow, back to this headache..err I mean this job.  Oh wait, I have a headache and my job’s a
pain in the arse.  Two different things!

Here’s some pics from our closing
