It’s been a long time I guess since I started this journal. I was hoping that I could keep up with it and update but that seems to just have been one of my crazy thoughts regarding my website that never truely works. Let’s back up a bit I guess to my birthday.

Story of my engagement!

The day of my birthday:
In the morning I woke up all hungover (thanks to having his college friend drinking with us the night b4). I get out of the shower and he’s not home…i’m thinking hmm. He comes in with coffee from starbucks for me (which i’m a fanatic about). 10 mins later he comes in and tells me he has to go pick up part of my present…it’s 7:30 am and i’m thinking WTF is open?

Afternoon comes, I get home from my haircut and he tells me to dress nice for going out to dinner. We leave and he’s all driving towards Tahoe. I’m thinking to myself about all the nice restaurants there so had no clue which one. Well, he pulls into the Italian restaurant we went to for my birthday 2 years ago when I first met him. (My birthday is also our anniv. weekend)

Have a nice dinner and good conversation, the lil cake comes out and has a candle in it. He tells me not to blow out the candle cause something will look really nice with it. In the box was a tanzanite diamond drop necklace and i’ve been soooo wanting a tanzanite piece of jewelry since most likely in a year there will be very few left. So anyhow, i’m oggling over this necklace and then we leave the restaurant.

He asks if i’d want to go for a walk on the beach or do something while we r up in tahoe (only 25 mins drive but still) I say sure since i’ve never been to the one beach he mentioned. We park and start walking along the water, it’s really warm out and so I took off my shoes splashing him in the water Anyhow, we go sit down on this rock cause I refuse to keep walking miles down hehe. We probably sat there for an hour talking about this and that..when the conversation started being more sappy and lovey. He told me how from the first time he met me I had his heart and some more sappy lines He got down on one knee and did the whole will u marry me line..the rest is a blur.

The next day this huge box comes in my office. I got a dozen red roses with a card that says
“To the one who makes my mornings start out so perfect, whenever I open my eyes. Love you always.”

Could I have asked for anyone better? I look at him every day and think of how lucky I am.

I love him with all my heart and couldn’t imagine a better guy to spend my life with.
